Privacy Policy

LumiArc is an early-stage product built by one person. This page explains what I collect when you use this website — specifically, the short survey at /rate-me — and how I handle it. If and when LumiArc adds user accounts, payments, or a mobile app, this policy will be updated and re-dated.
What I collect
- Survey answers: When you complete the survey, I store the options you select and any free-text feedback you write.
- Email address (required):Your email is the entry point to the survey. It serves two purposes: it ensures each person submits once (keeping results honest), and it lets me follow up or notify you at launch if you're interested. It is stored with your responses and is never shared.
- Basic request metadata: My hosting provider (Vercel) logs standard request data like IP address, user agent, and timestamp for abuse prevention and uptime. I do not use these logs for profiling.
I do not use third-party analytics, advertising pixels, fingerprinting, or session recording on this site.
Why I collect it
- To build LumiArc around what students actually need, not assumptions.
- To reach out to people who opted in, either with follow-up questions or with a launch announcement.
That's the full list. Your responses are not used to train AI models, sold, rented, or shared with advertisers.
Who can see it
Only me. Data is stored with my hosting and database providers (Vercel and MongoDB Atlas) under their standard security practices. I do not share survey responses or emails with any other third party.
How long I keep it
- Survey answers: retained while I'm still gathering feedback, then summarized and the raw responses deleted — at the latest, 24 months after submission.
- Email addresses: retained until you ask me to remove them, or until launch outreach is complete, whichever comes first. Emails are also used as a deduplication key — deleting yours would allow re-submission, which I'll do on request.
Your choices
- Email is required to submit the survey (it prevents duplicate responses). If you prefer not to share it, you can send feedback directly to info@lumiarc.app.
- You can ask me to delete your submission at any time by emailing support@lumiarc.app. Include enough detail (rough submission date, email used if any) for me to find the record.
- You can ask what I've stored about you at the same address.
Children
The landing page is directed at adults (college students and prospective students). I don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a minor submitted the survey, email support@lumiarc.app and I'll remove the record.
Changes
If this policy materially changes, I'll update the date at the top. For anything significant — for example, adding analytics or a third-party processor — I'll note what changed.
